Mammatus Clouds Weather Supercell Storm Sky Rare Oklahoma Medium/Canvas/Print
$180.00
This is one of the best examples of Mammatus clouds i have captured in my many years of storm chasing. This was taken in eastern Oklahoma in May of 2022 after a very big supercell storm had blasted through the area dropping tennis ball sized hail, hurricane force winds and some of the most dangerous close lightning I had ever seen. Mammatus clouds are formed on undersides of severe storms, when cold air sinking downwards form pockets contrary to the puffs of clouds rising through the convection of warm air.
